I keep getting these images in my head of things I want to draw, but there's a block there between the idea and the creation thereof. I think I'm just too distracted with other things.

In commemoration of getting back my domain, I think I might re-design the layout of my site again. The, excuse the analogy, penis-pink color has gotten old. While it was a strange novelty in the beginning, being a color that is not exactly what one would expect from me, being a more blue-oriented person, I feel that I need something that will hold more data more naturally. As it stands, a lot of the text and stuff seems forced into the space it's in.

It'll take me a while to do all this, so it probably won't get done for at least two months (I am not only a busy gal, I am quite lazy). I should read through my JavaScript books on how I can change design of the art pages without having to go in manually to every single page and re-do it... That is very time consuming. I know, because I'm on my third layout for this site. It makes me sad that I must do this before the full potential of the layout was realized, many parts of the site still being under construction, but I feel I need a layout better suited to the many pages which I do have in here.

And perhaps to finally admit to myself that it's unlikely that I'll get my literature stuff up, as I hardly have any finished literary works. I have snippets and starts and great ideas... But they're all too ambitious for my willingness to commit. I am a very impatient gal, and it doesn't take as long to finish a full painting (well-rounded figure, whole background) as it does a short story. Or novel.

It's great to have my domain again. Now I can do business cards and t-shirts. YAY. poolsofmind.com is so much more marketable than d1645739.u27.infinology.com, y'know? All those damn letters and numbers to remember.

On the artistic side of things, I bought some Prismacolor pencils, finally. I've been dying to own a set of those for years, I swear to god. I haven't done too much with them yet, but what I have done has turned out great. I expect to have some good ol' colored pencil drawings up as soon as I can find my Photoshop disk. I can't scan anything with it still crapped out after that blasted Parite.B mother---- ate my programs.

Well. Unfortunate that I had a virus hit my computer, because now all my favorite programs don't work. (Including the FTP program I use do update this website.) I had to download the Netscape installer on my laptop, save it on a disk, and then run it on Adam here (my desktop) just so I could browse the internet.

Of course, this allowed for laziness to creep in and I haven't been as driven to fix the problem, but when I get around to it I'll finish archiving my files and then run my restore disk. (Which is currently missing; another factor in not getting things done.)

My drawing has been off-again on-again. Pretty much my new stuff can be seen on my Lothlorien page, which is on the links page, so if you go there and see something you haven't seen in here, well, that's because it's new. Or whichever. o_O;;
